Descriptions
Norwich City Council requires a single supplier to provide structural and civil engineering maintenance and repair works to tenanted low-rise properties, which are being managed by NPS Norwich Ltd - Property Services Team. The work consists of: 1/ Structural Maintenance and Improvement Works - Removal of existing precast concrete stair flights and replacing with steel pan staircases supported on structural steel supports and concrete pad foundations. Staircase treads to be infilled with high performance wearing screed and to be fitted with safety nosing's. Repairs to external reinforced concrete access decks/landings and soffits including applying corrosion inhibitors, new cement rich render and protective coatings. 2/ Brickwork repairs. Preparation, repair and over coating access deck membranes and landings. Removal of existing railings/balustrading to access decks/landings and staircases and replacing with new galvanised steel railings fitted with 'warm feel' handrail capping's. Temporary staircases will be required to maintain access to dwellings.
