Descriptions
The scope of work for the Life Safety Systems and General Lighting Upgrade Emergency Works project includes as follows:- a)Isolation, removal and disposal of the redundant services to a licenced waste facilityb)Provision of supplementary containment systems as required to fully contain all new wiring and cabling systems – existing containment to be retained generally and reused where feasiblec)Upgrade the existing Distribution Boards throughout the school to provide new Emergency Lighting Central Test Facilities in accordance with the current standards, and new dedicated power supplies for the Fire Alarm System and Door Hold Open Devices.d)Replacement of all general lighting fixtures with new LED units throughout the schoole)New external lighting with LED amenity lanterns and new wiring installations (existing cabling clipped direct to be fully stripped out) f)New self-contained emergency lighting system throughout the school to current IS 3217 standard.g)New L3 Fire Detection & Alarm System throughout the school to current IS3218 standardh)All associated alterations to the existing electrical services installations as requiredi)Testing & commissioning and certification of the upgraded Life Safety Systems and associated electrical installations j)All associated builders works, opening up, making good, weatherproofing & fire proofing and re-decoration to match existing finishesk)Full contract clean of the entire school building immediately prior to handover l)Maintenance of the new installations for the defects liability period (12 months)The appointed contractor shall supply all labour, materials, equipment and engineering services, and perform all works necessary to install the complete, tested, commissioned, and operational Life Safety Systems and Electrical systems in accordance with the Specification and Drawings.
