BuySocial movements aim to build markets for social enterprises among the general public as well as the private and public sectors. A central aspect of BuySocial is Socially Responsible Public Procurement (SRPP). Both SRPP and BuySocial are in their infancy in Ireland, though there is growing demand for both to support the achievement of numerous social and green public policy objectives. The current research seeks to inform Government Departments about the potential to develop BuySocial and SRPP in Ireland.
