NOTICE OF: A TENDER OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL COFFEE SHOP TO BE CREATED AT WOOTTON COMMUNITY AND SPORTS CENTRE EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST INVITED Details: Wootton Parish Council has commissioned an extension and major refurbishment works to Wootton Community and Sports Centre, Curtlee Hill, Wootton, Northampton. The extension is to include provision for a Coffee Shop along with a new library. The busy Community Centre hosts many different regular classes, events, clubs and sports fixtures throughout the year and is lucky to have a captive audience within the area serving 6000+ residents. The Community Centre has a large car park and a regular footfall of parents from the local school. The results from a survey which was sent out to all Wootton residents prior to the extension detailed that a Coffee Shop at the Community and Sports Centre would be highly desirable and well used by residents. 125m2 area of space is available for lease which will comprise the café seating area and a servery. The successful tendee will be expected to provide furniture and the servery. The programmed completion date of the extension works is early summer 2021 with the new café opening around the same time ideally. There is also some ancillary outdoor space which can be made available by negotiation. Wootton Parish Council is looking for a proprietor for the coffee shop who would lease the space on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate would be someone with a passion for quality, local produce and who can be flexible to accommodate the requirements of the community.
