The scheme is primarily demolition work to take down the Arena Club, Blaenau Gwent Rugby Club, Carmel Chapel and outbuildings and to construct car parking areas on the sites.These buildings are prominently high structures located within the confines of Abertillery Town centre and adjacent to public highways.Other works include minor civil engineering such as flexible surfacing, retaining and property walls, landscaping, drainage, earthworks and street lighting works.
