Descriptions
The proposed contract is related to proposed development at the Westgate Centre, Oxford (“the Development”) and will be made further to inter alia Section 278 of the Highways Act 1980. It is to be entered into simultaneously with a planning obligation pursuant to Section 106 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 relating to the Development. It will contain commitments, conditional on the implementation of the Development (entirely at the discretion at the developer) and progress of the Development for the design and execution of various new highway works and variations and improvements to the existing highway to facilitate and accommodate the impact of the Development.The proposed contract will also contain provisions relating to private structures supporting the proposed highway including future maintenance.
