The primary purpose of this PIN is to alert the market to an anticipated competitive procurement process that Shepway District Council (SDC), as lead Authority, intends to undertake on behalf of itself, Canterbury City Council (CCC), Thanet District Council (TDC) and Dover District Council (DDC) for the provision of Asbestos Surveying & Sampling and Asbestos Removal Services prior to the publication of ITT.East Kent Housing will act as the contract administrator.The tender will cover the provision of the services in 3 lots with the intention to award either Lot 1and/or Lot 2 or Lot 3, depending on the most economical bids submitted.The lots will be divided as:— Lot 1: Asbestos Sampling & Survey.— Lot 2: Asbestos Removal.— Lot 3: Asbestos Sampling, Survey & Removal.The procurement exercise aims to award four contracts, one for each Council.A single web-based Asbestos Register portal will be required for all contracts.
