The Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust is a multi-academy trust run by the Diocese of Ely in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk which comprises of 33 schools. 18 of those schools are primary schools who will be involved in this tendering exercise. The Trust requires the services of a competent and professional outsourced catering provider who can provide a range of nutritious meals to students and staff which meet and exceed Government standards. The contract period will be for 3 years initially with the option to extend for 2 further one year periods. Estimated full contract value is expected to be in the region of 4 925 000 GBP. All schools currently receive their catering provision from the local authority, so it is expected that some of the catering staff are members of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
