North Wales Construction Framework is part of a number of Collaboration Programmes between the six North Wales Authorities (Denbighshire County Council. Conwy County Borough Council, Flintshire County Council, Gwynedd Council, Wrexham County Borough Council, Ynys Mon County Council) to address the Programme for Wales priorities. It is the first generation of local authority-driven Construction Frameworks in North Wales and is serving as a catalyst for changing the way that construction projects are procured in the region.As part of the Framework initiatives we have set up Special Interest Groups to encourage partnership working, improvement of regional skills, share knowledge and best practice.We are holding a Building Information Management (BIM) workshop directed at Construction Consultants and Main suppliers working on Projects across North Wales from the following areas.M&EFrames – SteelFrames – TimberFrames – ConcretePre-cast Concrete worksRoofing – all typesCurtain Walling/GlazingLight weight structural framing system (SFS)Drywall as associated tradesFF&ESpecialist Doors (Access Steel etc.)Catering Equipment installsLift, Escalators etc.The purpose of this workshop is to map the current understanding of BIM within companies across the region.The workshop will take place on 19th January 2016 venue will be confirmed on registration.Places are limited and will be granted on a first come first served basis.Interested parties should note that this is an information gathering and sharing workshop only and that no tender or contract procedure will follow from this.If you are interested please contact the Framework Team:Elaine.rizzi@denbighshire.gov.ukTania.silva@denbighshire.gov.ukYOU MUST EXPRESS AN INTEREST IN ATTENDING BY EMAIL TO THE EMAIL ADDRESSES ABOVE.
