The Borough Council of Bolton (“the Authority”) is prepared to receive tenders for a Bulky Waste Collection Contract which will be subject to the information, specification and tender package enclosed.
The Authority require a company to provide a household bulky waste collection service for the following:
• Removal of bulky items (eg sofa, bed and wardrobe)
• Removal of small waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) as part of the bulky waste collection service.
• Removal of white goods as part of the bulky waste collection service.
• Removal of fridge/freezers as part of the bulky waste collection service.
• Provide an annual collection of residents’ unwanted Christmas trees.
Once the waste is collected it will be the responsibility of the contractor to reuse and recycle as much of the waste as possible.
Disposal of any waste that cannot be recycled will be part of the GMCA waste disposal arrangements.
