THIS NOTICE IS AN UPDATE TO Notice Number 93288 (issued 19 June 2019) due to an extension to the Closing date to WEDNESDAY 10 JULY 2019 @ 12 NOON.PLEASE NOTE THE SELL2WALES REGISTER NOW FUNCTION IS NOT AN EXPRESSION OF INTEREST YOU MUST FOLLOW THE STEPS CONTAINED IN THE CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION SECTION OF THIS ADVERT.The Council requires up-dated information on shopping patterns in the Caerphilly County Borough area, which has approximately 180,795 residents. There are two ‘sub-regional’ centres in the County Borough, namely Blackwood, pop. 28,116, and Caerphilly, pop. 56,215. Supporting them are four ‘district’ centres, namely Bargoed, pop. 28,390, Newbridge, pop. 11,171, Risca, pop. 17,819, and Ystrad Mynach, pop. 25,930. However because of the urban form of settlements in the South Wales Valleys, each of these centres has a much wider catchment than just their resident populations. Maps and postcodes of the six catchment areas can be found in the Procurement Documents.The main requirement is to establish where and how often residents and visitors are shopping for their food and non-food purchases, other reasons for visiting the shopping centres, their attitude towards the centres, and the means of transport used. The surveys are to be conducted during September with all surveys completed by week ending 29 September 2019 to ensure comparability with previous survey years.The Shopper Attitude Surveys are carried out usually on a tri-annual basis it is therefore anticipated that if performance is good on this 2019 survey the Council reserves the right to ask the successful bidder to price for and undertake the next survey requirement (anticipated September 2022 but not guaranteed).
