Cork City Council will procure a suitably qualified buildings archaeologist, with industrial heritage experience, and conservation engineer/architect to prepare a management plan for the site to include a statement of significance which will generate an understanding of the chronology, character and significance of the complex. In particular it will include also•Particular emphasis on those parts of the site particularly adaptable to change,•Identify challenges/threats, weaknesses and opportunities within the gunpowder mills complex ,•Identify areas which may require further study,•Identify areas particularly suitable for interpretation and access.
