Building and conservation works funded by HLF at historic walled garden site at Cefn Ila, near Usk, now managed by the Woodland Trust to include:Visitor Shelter: Clear site for visitor shelter and construct approx 5m x 3.6m green oak timber frame structure on old green house base with new slate roof. Existing chimney to adjacent heating system unit to be demolished and rebuilt.Walls: Carry out wall conservation repairs and repointing to all external and interior walls of walled garden (approx. 45m x 45m square) and installation of replacement new lower and upper doors and doorways.Bothy Store: Clear site and construct new stone bothy store on existing low stone walls of former bothy. Corrugated metal roof with new timber door.Cold Frame: Clear and repair low brick wall of historic kitchen garden cold frame.
