WP1 works will address obsolescence and reliability concerns within the Central Line Signalling & Train Control System (S&TCS) and will include the design, supply, integration, installation, testing and commissioning of a modified Automatic Train Control (ATC) S&TCS, such as: migration of the interlocking functionality to WESTRACE Mk2 Interlocking Controllers (ICs) on proprietary hardware; conversion of WESTRACE Mk1 interlocking machines to WESTRACE Mk1 Object Controllers (OCs) and deployment of S&TCS data network using MSN2, converting legacy serial data comms links to IP comms.
