Christ Church Cathedral is Dublin’s oldest working structure.It is also one of Ireland’s top visitor attractions and a place of pilgrimage throughout the centuries.On average,260,000 paying visitors enjoy the cathedral each year,the majority of whom visit from overseas.The cathedral offers self-guided,fully guided & audio guided tours to both individuals & groups (such as tour groups through tour operators,schools,local history groups,choir groups).Tickets to the cathedral are currently sold online,however it is important to increase the online sales and for this element to integrate with the onsite sales system.The cathedral also stages many events throughout the year including concerts,lectures,corporate events and regular night-time events.These are seated events and an important requirement will be the ability to ticket reserved and unreserved seats. There is also a gift shop on site and an online gift shop currently run through WooCommerce.Christ Church completed a rebrand in 2019 and they have plans for a new website.The cathedral is keen to be digitally fit for purpose as a leading heritage attraction and event space as they emerge from the Covid pandemic. In particular they would wish to make sure that the "back end",ticketing,tour-op bookings,diary management,staffing,and operational resources no longer sit in silos with unlinked systems and operations but are integrated as far as possible.The aim is to either: -replace all current systems,which are not currently integrated, with a single system-or where a successful and seamless (2-way) integration can be delivered retain the use of their existing Meridian system to deliver the retail function on-site and link it with a new ticketing/crm system-a future aim is to integrate the chosen option with the WooCommerce online shop and introduce fundraising (donations,membership,etc) and therefore any solution should have this existing capability.
