The Cliffoney Community Forum operates in North Sligo and its purpose is to enhance lives of all residents in Cliffoney village and surrounding townlands. It is a Registered Charity and a CLG. Operating well over the last two years despite the restriction of the world pandemic.This is now the time to engage widely with the community - in public meetings - to identify their wants and needs in the form of a Community Plan. This Plan will then provide a framework for action in the short, medium and longer term. The requirement is for a Consultant / Facilitator to engage with residents to lead this work -operating closely with the Directors and Members of the Forum.Step 1: agree the plan and approach with the Directors of the ForumStep 2: send an An Post mailshot (circa 450 addresses) to issue an invitation for a series of community consultations (likely 4) in the Village Hall in Cliffoney: please note, there is no appetite for this work to be conducted by ZoomStep 3: identify themes and projects desired by the communityStep 4 refine these ideas into short, medium and longer term actions and assign priorities for actionStep 5: Synthesise the results into a cohesive and persuasive Community Plan, agree its content with the Directors and then publish The Consultant / Facilitator is expected to:- use social media, tv, radio and the press to create and maintain interest in this work - create a collaborative series of engagements using techniques to engage the community (including businesses, schools and other existing organisations)- reinforce the work as it progresses by providing feedback to all attendees within 3 days of each community meeting to all attendees- recognise that attendance at these meetings by the community is consuming their spare time and so there must be an air of excitement and commitment to producing a worthwhile finished product (the Community Plan)- the Plan should be powerful and persuasive to the community and external authorities
