Descriptions
Colville Phase 2 and 3 comprises the development of 307 new homes. Both form part of the overarching masterplan to regenerate the entire estate. The schemes are subject to a range of utility diversion works including relocation of the electric substation at Harwood Court which will facilitate its imminent demolition. This Award is to procure the removal of this substation and intermediate relocation at a site agreed with planning and highways along Penn Street. Rebuild of the permanent sub-station will be required at a later point of the project, this will incur additional fees separate to this award. Description of Works This project is for relocating a UK Power Networks LV only substation known as 40359 currently located within Harwood Court to a new 4 way link box in the public footpath (Penn Street). Works to be carried out by the customer •Demolition works only to commence once UKPN have completed all works on site. Works to be carried out by UK Power Networks •Engineering design works •Relocating a UK Power Networks LV only substation known as 40359 currently located •within the above site to a new 4 way link box in the public footpath •The scope of works will include the following: •Decommission of the existing LV Circuits. •Excavate, Lay and reinstate new 4way linkbox in public footpath •Excavate 4 LV joint holes to pot end existing cables and re-connect to new linkbox. •Erect two way temporary traffic lights to enable a temporary walkway for pedestrians as well as for works vehicles to park.
