The University of South Wales(USW) is looking for a Contractor to provide a compliant confidential waste disposal service to the various USW sites.ProvisionThe service will comprise of the supply of wheelie bins or cabinets and to lift / empty these bins at the frequency contained in the Pricing Schedule of the Requirements Document.The Bins or cabinets supplied must be operational with any defects or breakages i.e. broken lids and damaged wheels, being rectified within two weeks of being reported. The contractor will be required to collect and dispose of all waste streams in an appropriate, secure and environmentally preferable manner; this is to be provided directly by the contractor.In fulfilment of its statutory duty of care, the University of South Wales will require the contractor to provide full information on the methods of disposal of waste, showing clear evidence of the disposal method, which are environmentally preferable.The contractor will be required to have Health and Safety responsibilities in this respect and will ensure that any lingering waste awaiting collection is secure from vermin and other pests and does not pollute the surrounding area. Waste must not be allowed to escape / leak from the vehicles when on or off USW sites.Monthly reportingThe contractor needs to produce and provide a monthly Tonnage report to the University of South Wales. This report needs to detail each of the waste streams that have been collected from each site. It needs to identify the volumes/quantities of waste recycled or sent to landfill and the day of the month that this waste is collected,
