Consultancy Services for Public Assets Study for Bury St Edmunds

Descriptions

St Edmundsbury Borough Council on behalf of the West Suffolk Property Board is looking to commission consultants to undertake a Public Assets Study for the town of Bury St Edmunds. The Board is a partnership of all public sector partners in West Suffolk under the auspices of the Cabinet Office’s One Public Estate Programme. This work will be funded by central grant and, as such, will be seen as an exemplar in the national programme, likely to be replicated locally and nationally. The overall objective of the study is to identify and robustly assess the specified publicity owned sites in the study area. The selected consultants are to establish the options and the potential development opportunities for the sites which most effectively generate and maximise: • Operational efficiency • Capital receipts • The release of sites for regeneration In this context the consultants are to ensure that the opportunities and risks associated with the various sites are understood and fully realised. The outputs of the work will establish and recommend how all the sites, both individually and in combinations, could most effectively deliver on the objectives above.
