Awarded
Contract for Biodistribution Study of Extracellular Vesicles (RISE project)
Descriptions
The RISE project is a collaboration between Swansea University, ReNeuron and Ig Innovations, that will involve characterising and purifying exosomes produced by ReNeuron. The main aim is to understand what type of cancers exosomes can be used to treat, and how they can be prepared ready for clinical trials. The Reproductive Biology and Gynaecological Oncology Group (RBGO) within the Faculty of Medicine, Health & Life Science at Swansea University have now awarded a suitably qualified and experienced supplier to undertake exosome samples (also called extracellular vesicles, EVs) for the dosing of mice with fluorescently labelled EVs, fluorescence imaging on live animals and on organs sampled at end timepoint of the study. This service was carried out at the supplier’s organisation and resulting products and research outputs are to be received by the RBGO group at Swansea University Singleton Campus and shared with RISE partners
