Descriptions
The awarded contract is for concrete repairs, maintenance painting and bridge joint replacements the Cousland Interchange Bridge located at the junction of A899 with A706 Cousland Road west of Craigshill within West Lothian area. The works comprise of: - Concrete repairs to concrete decks, abutments and piers will carried out from working scaffolds and comprise breaking out of the defective concrete and replacing it with structural repair mortars. - Maintenance painting will comprise working from encapsulated working scaffold to remove the existing paint from the steel beams by grit blasting and then spraying on a new paint system. - Bridge joint replacement will involve cutting out the existing road surfacing to the required depth to allow removal and replacing with poured modified bitumen.
