Descriptions
The Department for Education acting through the Education and Skills Funding Agency (the Authority) is undertaking a procurement in order to support the expansion of the traineeships reform and expansion programme (the ‘Traineeship Programme’). Through this procurement, the Authority intends to award contracts to quality training providers who will deliver traineeships in England for those aged nineteen (19) to twenty-four (24) in order to meet the increased demand from young people who, as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic, may have fewer employment choices available to them.The Authority is conducting a light touch procurement in accordance with Section 7 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015) applying the principles of the Open Procedure as set out in the PCR 2015 and more particularly within the procurement documents, with an accelerated timetable.
