BTP has the need to conduct regular passenger confidence surveys with those using the network to gather their views on our service and understand their feelings of safety and issues important to them. To gather a greater response rate and a wider demographic pool of individuals, BTP need to change its approach to ensure that we can reach people through a mixture of online platforms as well as traditional face to face engagement. This survey process cannot be completed in-house either due to lack of resources, the specialist skills required and that based on past experiences we have a better uptake of responses when completed independently of the Police. This survey and results analysis activity aligns to the strategic objectives of the organisation and helps BTP improve its service to the public, improving confidence.
