Cordia has a very diverse portfolio of work, including the provision of catering, cleaning, facilities management and homecare services for the Council and other organisations.These services include the operation of Fuel Zone, which is a concept which has revolutionised the primary and secondary catering service to include healthier menu options and offer incentives for healthy eating choices. Other initiatives include Glasgow's Big Breakfast, Refresh and Fruit Plus.Facilities Management, including essential front line services such as janitorial services, is provided to over 260 primary, special needs and nursery schools throughout Glasgow. Catering and cleaning services, building and window cleaning services and security are also provided under the umbrella of facilities management, with Cordia providing a building cleaning service to Glasgow City Council's six service departments.Cordia also provides a corporate banqueting and venue hire service. Encore Creative Catering, a division within Cordia provides a 1-stop shop catering and venue hire service for access to Glasgow's most impressive venues including Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, the Burrell Collection, the Riverside Museum and the People's Palace and Winter Gardens. Encore employs around 325 contracted staff and around 170 casual staff, and has a turnover of 12 200 000 GBP per annum.Where Do You Come In?As the catering world and customer expectations evolve, it is Cordia's commitment to our customer that we will evolve also. To achieve this we understand that over a period of time we must invest in infrastructure of our catering outlets, both within schools and our commercial environment.With this in mind it is our intention, in the near future, to put in place a framework agreement to utilise over the next 4 years where suppliers appointed to the framework agreement will have the opportunity to work with us to ensure we are at the forefront of our industry.We will be looking for a supply base with expertise in the design and implementation of catering outlets, which may be in the shape of a café, a restaurant, an indoor catering cart or even an outdoor catering outlet.Note: The buyer is using PCS-Tender to carry out this procurement process.
