Elmbridge Local Infrastructure Organisation Contract
Descriptions
Elmbridge Borough Council is undertaking changes to how we run our community services, which will improve our offer and widen its reach to more people in need. You may have read about these changes, called Connected Communities. There is more information on our website if you would like to know more.
As part of this change, we are looking to commission a Local Infrastructure Organisation (LIO), who will help develop and advocate for the Voluntary Community and Faith Sector to ensure all voices are heard as one, with improved collaboration and partnership working within the sector and across its partners. For an overview on the roles, responsibilities and benefits of a Local Infrastructure Organisation, please find further reading here NAVCA - What is Local Infrastructure.pdf. The LIO will also be responsible for provision of a Community Connectors programme, that will train local volunteers who will ensure residents are signposted to the support they need.
We are very keen to involve individuals, teams, and organisations from our VCFS sector in helping to shape this exciting change.
The value of the contract will be c. £250,000 per annum.
