Military transport helicopters. The Defence Equipment and Support Chinook Project Team, part of the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence, has decided to proceed, on a single-source basis, with The Boeing Company, and place an Over & Above Task under its extant Chinook Through Life Customer Support (TLCS) Contract (CHC/087) for the embodiment of a Digital Automatic Flight Control System (DAFCS) on the UK Mk4 & Mk5 Chinook Helicopters, including detailed design activities, the procurement of equipment, and the development of the Through-Life Support solution. The Project Team may place further Over & Above Tasking as required for DAFCS under the extant TLCS Contract where it requires Boeing's expertise and access to relevant Proprietary Rights & Data.
