Energy Works (Hull) Project.
Descriptions
Energy Works (Hull) Limited intends to procure a partner for the design and build of an energy from waste (EfW) facility in Hull using fluidised bed gasification (the "Project"). The facility is intended to recover energy from around 200kT of waste materials per annum. The gasification facility will produce a ‘syngas' that is combusted to produce steam to drive a conventional steam turbine, generating 25MW (gross) of electricity. The gasification technology will allow cleaner and more efficient recovery of energy from waste than is achievable through traditional techniques and will qualify for double ROC awards under the Renewables Obligation incentive scheme.Further information on the Project is given in the procurement documents.
