Descriptions
Works will involve the enhancement of 3 civic areas and a link to a town centre car park with a combined area of approximately 2780m2. Works can be described as increasing all footpath widths and installing new materials to all footpath areas. Reducing all road carriageway widths and re-surfacing works including road markings to all carriageways.Re-configuration of Pearse St/Castle St. junction, install traffic signals. and remove existing roundabout. Remove existing Pedestrian Crossing on Castle St and Pearse St. and construct new signalised pedestrian crossings.Reconfiguration of junction of Market Square and Mount Street. Removal of existing pedestrian crossings and construction of new pedestrian crossings. Widening of footpath along Mount St to create a one-way system northbound. Increase civic area at Dominick Square and reduce the roundabout circulatory carriageway. Reduce roundabout circulatory carriageway at Blackhall Place.Install all signage associated with the new traffic flow systems being introduced.
