Expression of Interest for Revisiting oestrogenic effects in wild fish: assessing and comparing contemporary and historical impacts
Descriptions
The Environment Agency is proposing to undertake an investigation of sufficient size and scope to robustly investigate current levels of intersex and other oestrogenic effects in wild fish populations. This new study would seek to replicate the sampling approach and procedures from the initial studies and compare the results to the historical data (owned by Brunel/Exeter University). A supplier looking to bid for the work will need to have access to the reports and data in full. Interested parties must be able to deliver the full programme of works, including the project report, by the end of March 2018. They must meet all the skills criteria set out in the expression of interest document, available on the Bravo Solutions Portal; and be able to provide expert technical advice to inform the planning and implementation of a fish survey programme to effectively investigate contemporary levels of sexual disruption AND be able to compare them to historical data.
