A Fire Risk Assessment was carried out at the Hope Rescue Centre, Llanharan in August 2020. The Risk Assessment highlighted the requirement to have an additional fire exit at the far end of the top kennel block due to the travel distances. Whilst there is a door already in place, safe exit is blocked due to the build-up of debris from the overhanging trees and lack of a suitable path to safely move individuals out of the kennel block to the fire control point. The adjacent overhanging trees will be removed prior to commencement of the works.
