Descriptions
Essex County Council provides bus shelter infrastructure across the county of Essex. This currently includes all Essex districts except Thurrock and Southend. This year, the council will be tendering for a new provider for its Flags, Poles & Timetable frames contract. We are considering including timetable postings within this contract. The services delivered under this contract will include the installation and maintenance of flags, poles and timetable frames for circa 6,000 stops across the County. It is anticipated that this contract will start in April 2026, with sufficient mobilisation time. This market engagement aims to identify capable partners with a strong track record in delivering high-quality bus infrastructure solutions and efficient maintenance services. The Council would like to understand what solutions and services are currently on offer and available in the market, to support in determining what the requirements should be for this contract moving forward.
