Framework Agreement for the Provision of Counselling Services
Descriptions
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB)’s Primary care Mental Health Support service is seeking to implement an approved provider framework agreement for the provision of short-term counselling / psychological therapy and is therefore seeking responses from suitably qualified and experienced providers who have capacity to support the health board.Short-term counselling / psychotherapy would need to be provided to patients aged 18 and over, with a range of mild-moderate mental health needs for whom counselling / psychological therapy has been identified as being an appropriate course of clinical action. The specification is for the provider to deliver episodes of individual counselling, with each episode being up to 8 appointments, and appointments 1 hour in length. It is mandatory that where individual clients do not use / require the full 8 sessions, unused sessions are ‘recycled’ and used for other clients. The clients that are referred to the provider will have attended an initial appointment with a PCMHSS Practitioner and therefore have a clear and specific plan for the therapeutic intervention to be carried out. As a result, there will be no need for ‘re-assessment’ by the provider.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
