Descriptions
This is notice of an upcoming tender only to inform the market. There will be a combined PQQ & ITT when we publish. You may express an interest but no documentation will be made available at this time. The tender will be advertised openly in due course. We expect to release the tender in February. The aim of the Geospatial Services procurement is to create a flexible environment to enable the geospatial data created by the Government of Jersey to be made available to public bodies, commercial organisations and citizens in a manner that optimises its contribution to economic growth and well-being of the island and its people. In doing so it will retain the current business model of funding by charging for Premium Services, whilst introducing special licensing for start-ups to encourage innovation and open (free) access for certain Geospatial Information as specified to enhance transparency and public participation. The scope of this procurement is Value Added Reselling and Technical Support Services. GoJ is seeking to agree a multi-year contract with between 1 and 4 Business Partners to facilitate the sale of the geospatial datasets. This will also include other geospatial information should they subsequently become available. The scope of the opportunity is the commercial sector both on island, including government companies such as utilities, and international organisations. Renumeration for these services will be to retain a proportion of the sale price, whilst the remainder will be remitted to the GoJ. The Business Partners will be incentivised in the revenue split to attract new customers. This is a retender of the provision of the existing geospatial services business partner contracts, where such contacts expire on 31 October 2026.
