The purpose of this tender requires the contractor to provide a proposal for the provision of a local energy supply contract (LESC) through the installation of solar photovoltaics and supporting technologies at Limerick Greyhound stadium. Compliance with this specification shall not relieve the contractor from his responsibility to provide a product that is fully compliant with the codes & standards and specifications attached to this document. The form of Contract will be substantially in the form of the Local Energy Supply Contract (LESC). The resulting contract will be for period of 15 years with the option to extend it at the end of this period to a maximum potential duration of a further five years, on an annual basis or as negotiated by the parties. The Contracting Authority also wishes to reserve the right to a buy-out of all equipment before the end of the contract period. Tenderers are advised that the extension of this contract will be contingent upon, amongst other matters, the successful tenderer’s performance, and the historical performance of the solar PV system and supporting technologies, various financial considerations and the continued strategic appropriateness of the contracts.
