Descriptions
The National Composites Centre has identified a need to expand its materials characterisation capability to measure thermal conductivity, diffusivity, specific heat capacity and thermal expansion of polymer and ceramic based composites. We are looking to procure a suite of equipment to satisy this requirement. We require these measurements to be made over a heat range of ambient to 1600 degrees C and it would be desirable to measure over a greater heat range. Any water cooling required for the equipment should be a recirculating rather than a total loss system to satisfy environmental regulations. Each instrument shall be suppliedwith calibration/reference samples and be controlled from a windows based PC. Servicing, calibration and support shall be included for a 3 year period.
