"The contract is for the maintenance, repair, replacement, upgrade and installation of highway lighting, illuminated traffic signs, illuminated bollards, decorative lighting and other electrical assets as the service determines. The authority manages assets for other parties such as housing and is looking to manage town and parish council assets subject to the individual council deciding to join. Like with current arrangements with Housing we would be the single point of contact for all parties and facilitate the arrangement of all works. We are responsible for just over 26,000 electrical assets and an estimated 150km of underground private cable network."
