Invitation to a Market Engagement Event for 0-19 Healthy Child Programme

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC) are committed to commissioning high-quality, cost-effective services that meet the diverse needs across Sandwell. SMBC is currently preparing a future procurement of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme, this Programme is a vital way in which we can deliver improved outcomes for all children, young people and families across Sandwell. This preliminary market engagement seeks to share with any interested organisation: - Information about the Sandwell context - Executive summary and key findings from the 0-19 health needs assessment - The current and proposed delivery model of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme - Our vision and key recommendations for the future contract - A procurement brief - A tabletop activity to support the development of the specification The event will be an opportunity to share insights and collaborate on shaping the future of child and family health services within Sandwell. The Market Engagement event is an in-person event and will take place on Thursday 5th February 2026, arrival at 9.15am for the event to start at 9.30am and end by 12.30pm, at Brasshouse Community Centre, Brasshouse Lane, Smethwick, West Midlands, B66 1BA. Lunch will be served from 12.30pm to 1.30pm to provide an opportunity for networking (Please note: - Parking at the venue is available, however it is limited. Where possible, please consider use of public transport. - Another Market Engagement event will be held in regard to an Integrated Sexual Health Service from 2.00pm to 4.00pm on the same date and at the same venue. The details for the Integrated Sexual Health Service Market Engagement event will be advertised in a separate notice). Any interested organisation that wishes to attend the Market Engagement session for the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme is requested to email publichealth_procurement@sandwell.gov.uk by 5.00pm on 30th January 2026; providing the following information for each person attending, their full name, job title, organisation, email address, telephone number, if you will be attending the networking lunch and any dietary requirements. Depending on the level of interest received we may have to restrict the number of attendees per organisation. If required, this will be communicated prior to the event with as much notice as possible. Please note: This requirement will fall under the scope of The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 and any further Notice(s) will be in line with this regulation and will be utilising PCR 2015 notices.
