Swindon Borough Council appointed a Contractor to undertake the replacement to the three cremator bypass flues (only the horizontal sections that lead into the chimney stacks) that have become damaged. The works to be carried out are to the flues situated on the roof of Kingsdown Crematorium. The works are exterior and include removal and disposal of the existing sections of the flues, replacement of bypass damper assembly's, reconnection of flues to the existing structure and remaining flues and ensuring that they are fully functional with secure connections.
