Large Anechoic Chamber Refurbishment

Descriptions

The Large Anechoic Chamber was built in 1968 and last refurbished in the mid 1990's. It is now in need of another refurbishment. We would be looking for a company to remove the existing fibreglass wedges and replace them with a new set of wedges. We would be looking to replace the existing metal grid floor with something more lightweight, maybe of GRP construction. The refurbished chamber should at minimum: • comply with ISO 3745, ISO 26101. A full commissioning report will be required. • have a cut off frequency of 80Hz or below • have acoustic wedges that are fire retardant • have refurbished seals on all chamber openings • have a replacement lightweight floor capable of taking a spread load of at least 500 kg
