Large Concrete Radiological Shielding Lid Structures.
Descriptions
The Contractor shall carry out detailed design, manufacture, deliver and install (including all required testing, verification and documentation) of the Active Cells Storage Pit Lids. The Contractor will be required to complete the detailed design of the Storage Pit Lids, to achieve the dimensions and tolerances defined by the UKAEA. The Storage Pit Lids consist of approximately 20 concrete sections totalling 400 tonnes and to be installed circa 2018 at ESS facility, currently under construction to the north east of Lund (Sweden).
