Descriptions
Worcester City Council is inviting bids for the provision of a comprehensive lift servicing and maintenance programme across a range of council-owned properties. This contract covers both planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, ensuring all lifts remain safe, reliable, and compliant with statutory requirements, including LOLER and PUWER regulations.
The successful contractor will be responsible for:
Routine servicing: Passenger lifts - monthly Platform lifts and wheelchair stair risers - quarterly Dumb waiter lifts - quarterly Emergency call-out service: 24/7, 365-day coverage with a 4-hour response time (1 hour for trapped persons).
Compliance and reporting: Detailed inspection reports, adherence to British and EU standards, and maintaining accurate service records. Sites included: Key council buildings such as The Guildhall, The Commandery, St. Martin's Gate Car Park, and the City Art Gallery & Museum.
The contract will run from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2028, with options to extend for up to three additional years. Bidders must demonstrate technical competence, experience with similar contracts, and a commitment to health and safety, sustainability, and excellent service delivery.

The Council is using the e-procurement portal known as the Proactis Pro-Contract portal https://procontract.due-north.com to conduct this procurement exercise.

Once registered, bidders will be emailed a log-in and password, allowing them to gain access to the procurement documents.
