London Accommodation Pathfinder

Descriptions

The London Accommodation Pathfinder (LAP) is a project which offers supported accommodation as an alternative to custody. This is a pan-London initiative, led by Camden as the lead authority in partnership with approximately 11 London Boroughs. The LAP will initially offer a five bed provision in London for 16-17 year old male children with some turning 18 whilst in the service.

The aims are to reduce the number of children experiencing custody, improve their safety, wellbeing, life chances, reduce risks of re-offending and harm and protect the public and victims.

The London Borough of Camden is leading on the procurement exercise for the re-commissioning of the London Accommodation Pathfinder Service on behalf of the other participating authorities (London Boroughs of Enfield, Hackney, Greenwich, Kingston & Richmond (shared service arrangements), Wandsworth, Waltham Forest, Haringey, Hillingdon, Merton and Newham).
