London Luton Airport wishes to appoint a Contractor under the NEC Option A (amended) contract to design and build the following: The Terminal SW Pipe Diversion project works consist of the reinstatement of drainage run due to blockage caused by previous construction works associated with piling activity for the terminal extension, located between terminal building and Central Search Area. There are currently three options that have been identified to rectify this issue are as follows; o Option 1 - Gravity fed drainage system connecting into existing infrastructure - traditional trench excavation o Option 2 - Pumped solution connecting into existing infrastructure (NOT BEING TENDERED) o Option 3 - Gravity fed drainage system connection into existing infrastructure - based on thrust and bore techniques The project works will include the strip-out & enabling works to the central search area and concessionaire unit/s, break-out of existing terminal slab and exposure of existing drainage network, drainage replacement and reinstatement of the affected areas along with all associated works. These works bridge both airside and landside of the terminal building please refer to drawing ref; 19-164-01 for further detail on location. The Contractor is to erect hoarding in such a way which transforms the works area to landside.
