Descriptions
Leicester City Council is the Local Highway Authority for the City of Leicester. One of the Council’s statutory duties is the maintenance of the City’s public highway network. That network includes structures - typically but not only bridges, culverts and retaining walls - that need cyclic maintenance and reactive repairs and minor highway maintenance works (layby and parking areas). This Contract is expected to be the delivery mechanism for almost all those Works during its term including design and build of certain schemes, but the Council cannot guarantee its exclusivity.
