The overall trail is about 1.2km long, starting at the car park opposite the Friary building, following the road down towards the beach and old pier, before turning right off the sealed-surface road. This is known as Section B, which requires erection of signage (trailhead information board, general information signs, and recycled marker posts) and trail furniture only.Leaving the sealed-surface road, there is a muddy track as far as Master John’s cottage. Staying on a level above the wetland, the trail is to be constructed to a minimum width of 1600mm of finished trail along Section A.The overall works includes:•removal of a section of old fence•trail corridor clearance, including removal of fallen trees, invasive shrubs•drainage•path construction•erection of supplied furniture and signage It is necessary in order to successfully provide a competitive quotation that the suitable contractor complies with the minimum requirements set out in section 5 of this document and visits the site prior to submitting their tender.
