Meath County Council seeks to appoint a Technical Consultant for thepreparation of a Part 8 design, and a detailed design and Contractdocuments for the provision of a Park & Ride facility for approx 70 carparking spaces in Enfield Co. Meath. A major element of the Enfieldproposal is the construction of a purpose-designed park-and ride facility onhe large site to the rear of the proposed community centre. This will providefor c. 70 spaces for potential users of both the train station and the bus stopadjacent to the site which was recently reconfigured and upgraded to caterfor the large numbers of users. The provision of properly designed and safepark-and-ride facilities will encourage further use of public transportoptions, stimulating a modal shift from private car to bus or train.
