MIDL - Biodiversity - Provide biodiversity training to community scheme sponsors, RSS/TUS/CE scheme workers

Monaghan Integrated Development (MID) on behalf of Monaghan Local Action Group wishes to appoint a trainer/facilitator to deliver: 1.A one day training course across five different locations within Co Monaghan (6-8 hours)2.A one day evening course across 10-12 different locations within Co Monaghan (2-3 hours)The courses would be delivered in community venues across County Monaghan likely to be in the following areas, Carrickmacross, Castleblayney, Clones, Monaghan Town and Ballybay. Locations are subject to change depending on where participants come from. Venues to be confirmed in consultation with MID. Full responsibility for the organising of the event will rest with the trainer / facilitator. The training programme is aimed at community scheme sponsors and RSS/TUS scheme workers across the county. The day courses (6-8 hours) is aimed at RSS/TUS Scheme workers and the evening courses (2-3 hours) is aimed for staff of the sponsoring organisations.The aim of the training will involve giving participants a basic introduction to bio-diversity and educate them on elements of bio-diversity that could potentially be applied in the sponsors/participants working environment. The majority of participants on the course will be working within an environment where biodiversity is present. Carrying out jobs such as cutting grass, cutting hedges, planting trees and dealing with pesticides are just some of the duties undertaken. The winning tender must demonstrate they have the knowledge and learning material that’s relevant to the daily work environments of the participants.
