Cumberland Council wish to commission a service to provide minor adaptive works for people who have a disability. The Contract requires the provision, delivery and installation of minor adaptations, the majority of which will usually be carried out in privately owned domestic properties in the Cumberland Council area. The area covered by Cumberland Council has been divided into two separate areas of Carlisle and Allerdale; Copeland (West) as detailed in Appendix 1, for Adult Social Care locality purposes. These are in line with the previous District Council boundaries of Cumbria falling within Cumberland Council's administrative area. r r The Council proposes to enter into a contract for an initial period of 12 months with the successful tenderer. There is one optional extension available of up to 12 months which is at the complete discretion of the Council.
