The aim of this programme is to help construction companies be better prepared for using Modern Methods of Construction. It should enable them to have the knowledge, skills and behavior which will allow them improve productivity and profitability by working with customers and suppliers strategically when using modern methods of construction. Content: Content should include models, tools, etc. for some or all of the following: • Strategic procurement • Commercial relationships • Supply chain management principles • Negotiation Also Required: The programme needs to be flexible enough so that the participant can focus on the area in his/her business that they think is central to improvement. They should also have at least one tangible outcome for their company – preferably three or more. It would be expected that participants apply their learnings to their company over the duration of the programme and that there is some way of measuring this and the outcomes it has achieved. Please Note: Once delivery of the first programme has been completed this course may be run once, more than once or not at all, depending on the demand and availability of funding.
