Engagement
We are seeking an artist or artist collective to deliver 3 placemaking site-specific public art projects. The projects include a large mural on the side elevation of a block of 3 story flats, Hull Street/Ackroyd Street, Morley. The second mural location is not secured but this will be smaller and located on the side of a building on the route to the railway station. The third part of the project involves painting five traffic signal boxes. The artwork should be original and reflect the unique heritage and contemporary identity of Morley. Local Priority and Fair Competition • Local Definition: Priority will be given to artists living or working within the Morley South and North Wards and who demonstrate a strong connection to the immediate local area. • Open Call: While local artists are prioritised, the call is open to all to ensure a high standard of creative competition.
